Ecopoetry in Schools wins an award!

On Thursday 24th February 2011, the Norwich Eco Awards were held in the committee rooms of City Hall, Norwich.  They were attended by the Lord Mayor, councillor Tim Dylan, as well as several groups and parties concerned with ecological learning and awareness.

I am delighted to report that Ecopoetry in Schools was the proud recipient of a prestigious Norwich Eco Award!

It was one of five CUE East (Community University Engagement East)  Sustainable Living Funded projects to win such an award, the others being Girlguiding Norfolk – Sustainable Living Badge; Norfolk Museums and Archaeology Service – Biodiversity Sixth Form Conference; Invisible Dust, and Shaping Norfolk’s Future – Business Breakfasts.

The award was gratefully received and very well deserved – and testament to all the hard work and positive energy that we have all put into the project: organisers, teachers, and children alike.  A HUGE WELL DONE TO ALL INVOLVED!
